Charming antique Victorian Scottish agate pebble brooch with a garter buckle motif handset in engraved sterling silver. Colorful jasper, bloodstone, Montrose agates in a deep red-orange gray and a muted green are artfully cut and placed within the sterling silver bulbous style frame. The round brooch has an engraved border with a tubular hinge and c-clasp closure, as well as a round bale to add a safety chain or thread a chain and wear as a pendant. The buckle was a symbol of the binding love between the giver and the wearer. What a special treasure for the one you love!
